Major Purpose |
Background: FCM will be implementing the project Partenariat Canada–Tunisie pour l'Action Territoriale d’Adaptation Climatique. The project aims to support the strengthening of climate adaptation and resilience of Tunisian local authorities, while promoting an approach of equity and inclusion for women, youth and vulnerable populations. It will build the capacity of local institutions for climate governance and the adoption of nature-based solutions, including biodiversity considerations. The project will be ending in 2028-2029. Major Purpose: Under the direction of the Manager Inclusive Climate Action for Tunisian Municipalities, the Project Assistant is responsible to provide administrative, logistical and organizational support for the assigned project. S/he acts as the central point of contact for enquiries for information and services related to this project. The work at FCM includes FCM becoming an even more member-driven organization that balances the realization of its goals with a people-centered approach. The incumbent embodies FCM’s commitment to being a healthy, diverse, inclusive and anti-racist organization. The Project Assistant, Inclusive Climate Action for Tunisian Municipalities, will maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and exercise good judgment including the ability to escalate to management when help is required and being able to meet deadlines as set out by their direct manager within a fast-paced corporate environment. |

The future of work at FCM includes a hybrid work model; therefore, this role will be a combination of virtual and on-site work. The successful candidate is required live within 80kms of downtown Ottawa and be authorized to work in Canada.
