Major Purpose |
Reporting to the Manager, Messaging and Digital, the Communications Advisor, French Content provides strategic communications advice, planning and senior writing expertise in French in support of FCM’s Policy and Public Affairs department’s advocacy and policy objectives. The Communications Advisor, French Content oversees the planning and implementation of communications plans, products and activities. The Advisor assesses FCM’s communication vehicles and recommends measures, processes and tools for quality assurance and effective dissemination of communications products. The Communications Advisor, French Content is responsible for the development of written communication products in French (including speeches, key messages, email sends, social media content, articles, etc.) to meet the specific needs of FCM’s francophone members, francophone board members (including the Réseau Francophone) and FCM’s spokespersons. The Advisor’s work maximizes the impact of the organization in the francophone landscape across Canada, including in Québec. The work at FCM includes FCM becoming an even more member-driven organization that balances the realization of its goals with a people-centered approach. The incumbent embodies FCM’s commitment to being a healthy, diverse, inclusive and anti-racist organization. The Officer, will maintain the highest level of confidentiality, professionalism and exercise good judgment including the ability to escalate to management when help is required and being able to meet deadlines as set out by their direct manager within a fast-paced corporate environment. |
